Wakulla Whole Broiled Tomatoes

This easy shrimp dish takes just a little work to produce great results and lasting friends! The tomatoes can be placed under the broiler after baking just long enough to brown the cheese.

4 tomatoes
|
|
1 cup bread crumbs
|
|
Salt and pepper to taste
|
|
2 tablespoon unsalted butter
|
|
Parmesan cheese
|

Remove stem from tomatoes and cut out pulp about a third of the way in. |

Fill with bread crumbs and seasonings to taste. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and dot with butter.

Place in a pan with a little water to prevent sticking. |

Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 ° F.

Arrange shrimp around tomato. Serve garnished with lemon wedge and parsley, if desired. |
